Two important pieces from Denise Balkissoon and Navneet Alang make the connections between some downtowners’ disdain for the suburban lifestyle (or at least their filtered and, yes, privileged notions of it) and … race. If we’re going to bridge that divide, regardless of what it’s based on, we’re going to have to address that.
